but oh well, that is okay.

I’ve been told by many people that I walk slow.

At first, I thought it was only men

who think I walk slow

but apparently,

my sisters think I walk slow too.

Well, fine then.

I walk slow.

I walk slow because it’s too difficult

to walk fast

and to look up and down.

I tend to not look at right and left.

(Oh I know it’s a bad idea.

But it’s so difficult to look up and down and right and left

and ‘up&down’ is more interesting to look at than ‘right&left’)

Well, anyways….

I like to look at

below my eye levels and

above my eye levels

and that is my excuse for me

not being able to walk fast.

See, when you look

below your eye level,

you may find stuff like this.

(Too bad it’s blurry

but I also like it blurry.)

Weekend=Caffeinated

Tomorrow is Friday.

Friday is the beginning of Weekend.

Weekend happens in the City.

City means Williamsburg (…for me.)

Williamsburg means Coffee in every corner.

Coffee won’t be rejected by Yoshi.

Yoshi will be Caffeinated.

Am I addicted to coffee

or am I addicted to the act of holding

a large coffee cup.

Perhaps both.

光と話を集めに

いよいよ…というか既にもう４日経ってるけれど

２０１１年。

おめでたいね。

そして、ニューヨークに来て

早くも１ヶ月経過。

早いね。

去年は色々と、変化の多い年だった。

タイに住み、ラオスへ何度か行き、

ライティングの仕事も続け、そして楽しくなり

この仕事で食べていけるようになりたいと思えるようにもなり、

トイレットペーパーのないトイレにも慣れ、

色々なところへ一緒に旅をした彼と

分かれて歩いていくことを決め、

辛いものは全然ダメだったのに

今じゃぁ辛くないとダメになり、

大勢が集まる会はあまり好きじゃないけれど

食わず嫌いは良くないと自分に渇を入れられるようになり、

高校の時の友達とも再会し、

卒業以来会っていなかった

小学校の時の友達とも飲みに行け、

弾けたニューフレンドたちとも出会うことができ、

『チャンスが見つかれば明日にでもニューヨークへ行く』

…とベッドの中で一人誓った次の日くらいに

本当にチャンスが見つかり、

その２週間後くらいには飛び立ち、

『もうじき死ぬ』と２０年近くいい続けた

鉄人じいちゃんが、９５歳で、今度こそ本当にこの世を去り

（おじいちゃん、大好きだよ。）、

クリスマスイブは、一人で友達のジャズピアニストの

パフォーマンスを聞きに行き、

少し大人になった気分を味わい、

クリスマスにはお姉ちゃんが遊びにきてくれて

歴史に残るような吹雪にも屈せず

２人で雪にまみれて笑い、

ニューヨークで大学時代からの

仲良しボーイと、

大晦日じゃなければ絶対に行かないような

マンハッタンのクラブで年越しをし…。

全て書き出したらキリがないけれど、

本当に色々したなぁ。

私の夢は、

孫に色々な話をできるおばあちゃんになること。

（…ということは、私の子供が必要なんだけど。）

去年は、『良い話』が沢山詰まった一年だった。

２０１１年はどんな出会いを作れるだろう。

どんな話を集められるだろう。

…今年は、お父さんとお母さんに何か贈り物をしたい。

旅を続けたい、

もっと自立したい。

…じゃない。

日本に戻ってきては、気まぐれにどこかへ消える

Husky Voice

I thought I lost this roll of film but

I found it on the bottom of my purse,

right before I left Japan

so I developed it in NY.

I always love photos that look a little bit coarse

with a little dull colors.

I wish I had husky voice that goes with

the quality of the photos.

so I better go to bed now

so that I could get up at 6:00 AM tomorrow.

– Eat Healthy

Yes, that’s right.

Whenever I am in the city over the weekends,

I feel like I am eating and drinking terribly.

Time to reset my body!

Mellow Sunday…

I couldn’t finish the post yesterday

but it was supposed to be posted on Sunday.

Ooops.

Finally the snow has started to melt

and we could almost walk everywhere

without being trapped in puddles.

My leather boots are not happy with all the water

and salt on the street and I’ve been polishing them

everyday once they are dried.

Oh well…I guess they add some characteristics.

Today I got up and walked to Green Point

which is like 20 min. walk from where I am staying

in Williamsburg.

I met up with Matthew and we went to

Peter Pan Bakery to have some doughnuts and coffee.

Yum yum.

They have very yummy doughnuts.

I am kind of glad that I don’t live near

Whole Foods, doughnuts or a bagel shop.

It would be so dangerous.

In the night, I went to Pinkerton wine bar

to hear Matt

(…I hope you don’t mind me linking it to your site!)

play jazz.

Good music, good people, and some wine.

Life is good.

He will be playing there every Sunday night from now on.

If you are in the area, you should stop by

and have a glass of wine.

Little cozy bar with nice atmosphere,

I wish I could go there every Sunday night

but alas, I have to leave for Port Washington on Sunday nights.

Today I will go to East Village again

to pick up my photo.

Getting kind of hungry, but first…

shower time.

Up in the Sky

Ah, she is in the airplane by now.

Time went by so quick.

So many places I still wanted to take her to

and I feel like

I’ve only accomplished half of them.

However, the next time I think I would want to

travel with her to a warmer place

with no blizzard.

Not saying that the snowy days were bad.

It was exciting and beautiful but

….kind of inconvenient.

….well anyways,

THANK YOU SO MUCH for the lovely time together.

Words are never enough to tell

how grateful I am to have you as my sister.

(But I will stop it here for now

and will try to show you my appreciation and all

in a form of liquid which is commonly called wXXe.)
