the warmth

27 Jan

Looking back at old photos.

Just feeling a little nostalgic for warmth.

It’s snowing again here in NY

and it’s about 10F outside.

I have never been in a place so cold

besides the freezer we had at the store I worked at.

A human body could stand under a harsh condition,

and I am fascinated by my own adaptability.

Oh boy, but I would really love to

take off my coat and boots and run around

without worrying about slipping or sliding on the snow.

Just a day or two would be fine.

I know, this is just me

wanting something that is on the opposite end.

I do that sometimes.

Trudge, trudge. When I am in the snow and ice with my big boots and bulky clothes I feel like the creature from the black lagoon emerging clumsily from my nice warm swamp into the hostile human environment of Weather.

Aw, and as much as new adventure in the human world is exciting, don’t you miss being in the warm swamp you are supposed to belong to?

Are you Japanese? No it doesn’t matter as long as YOU KNOW Japan. I don’t. Actually I don’t know anything about that side of the world. If you are a Japanese expert tell me, tell me. Thanks. Have a great time.

Flowerball. I need your help. I am in advertising and there is a special restaurant coming up. It serves SE Asian and Japanese food. The want Japanese names. Where can I search for them? I have no clue.

Are you looking for a Japanese phrase that goes with the concept of the store or a word/person’s name that goes with the concept of the store?

I don’t know what the restaurant wants but I think they need to figure out their concept and then go to a dictionary or something???

Hi Flowerball. We this is a multi cuisine hotel that has all kinds of restaurants like continental, oriental, Chinese and so on. The oriental restaurant has Japanese and SE Asian food. So, I looked up the online English-Japanese dictionary and suggested these names.
    HOUJIN ( Japanese)

    AMATSU ( Heavenly)

    OISHI ( Delicious)
    DISUKABA ( Discovery)
    HANGURI ( Hungry)
    ENJOI ( Enjoy)

Thanks. I like your post. You are the first Japanese girl in my life that I am talking to. I have always admired Japanese girls. They are poetically beautiful. Have a great day.
